Good lunch special. Friendly service and good food
The pineapple fried rice 🤤
Thai restaurant with good foods
Update 10/03/2018: Food is still very very good. But the last visit was a little disappointing. Not once did anyone offer to fill up my water (which was empty not long after I arrived), no soup before the meal anymore, no $10 lunch special, and I asked for a 3 star dish and there was absolutely no heat to it. Quality ingredients and good prices. $10 lunch special and it comes with soup. Very good Pad See Ew and Praram Long Song.
Chicken pad Thai was very average. There was nothing memorable about it.
Best Thom Kha in Seattle. I've been looking for a duplicate since I found heaven-in-a-bowl in Phuket years ago, and I found it. 0-5 spicy rating so you can meter your sweat and made by the bowl so you can moderate the richness and amount of coconut milk. My go-to. So happy I found it.
Delicious food. Great staff!Best Thai food around.Prices are great too.5 star no brainer.
This place is great! Super fast and friendly service. The food taste amazing. I recommend the Basil chicken.
Tasty peanut sauce, fresh ingredients, great portions for the price.
Thai place with all the staple dishes you'd expect, plus a specials menu. Good value for money. The service is consistently friendly and very fast. Not that many tables but I haven't seen it completely full..
Food was decent, service was ok.Small seating area.No parking.
This was not a good experience for us. While the waiter was kind, he seemed unfamiliar with. The multitasking required for the job. He forgot basics like.. Forks. One order they got wrong (gave me meat in a vegitarian order. He brought a replacement as we were finishing, which i requested we just not do since we were all done eating. ), my husband found hair in his dish, and i found a fairly large piece of plastic in mine. Food was decent, but the difficulties with the meal really disappointed us.
I've had some good times, with good friends over some good food at this restaurant! Gonna miss this place; it closes next week😔. If you ever re-open, do it it in Tacoma; great spaces, reasonable rents. Near JBLM; great business traffic!
Great food great service 😁
Great place !
Pad see ew is my favorite with chicken added. Nice clean place to sit in and eat.
Very good food. I always order the Tofu Pad Thai and Vegetarian Spring Rolls.
The food is ok. A bit pricey for the portion
Amazing food, kind staff, excellent service. I will be back very soon!! Their 2/5 star Cashew Chicken was delicious and I cant wait to explore more of the menu!!
Fresh rolls made daily. But come early, cuz he will run out.Plum and peanut sauces, both warm. Best ever!
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course. All the cuisines were fresh and refreshing. I tried a variety of dishes. Scrumptious and delish! I highly recommend going to the Thai Star.
OMAR NAPIER NEEDS TO PAY WHAT HE OWES. ...REALLY SHADY GUY!!!
The place is nice and cozy, and the food was good. They were able to accommodate my gluten free diet easily!
Food was good, service was friendly & they had a high-chair for our daughter
I go to this place during 30-minute lunch breaks when I want to spoil myself. I love their food!!!
Very flavorful, good value, decor is minimal but we were just here for food so not a big deal to us.
Super generous portions, quick service, and amazing taste!
Great tasting food and very quick without breaking the bank. There are some Thai restaurants who can't quite get the spiciness down, but if you order a 5/5 and you like it quite spicy, you'll get both the flavor and the hotness. Only downside is they don't serve beer so you can't enjoy a nice cold Singha or Tiger with your noodles :(
I ordered Thai basil fried rice with tofu. It was pretty good. Will definitely come back.
I had the cream cheese wontons and Thai fried rice. Just average and overpriced as such. The wontons were microwaved and had cold portions. The rice was too oily for my taste.
Yummy yellow curry fried rice lunch special. Well priced too for portion.
Great lunch spot, affordable lunch specials and make their food properly spicy!
I ordered the Padsew and it's not the same as before. They should not cook this if they don't know how. I'm so disappointed.
I come here regularly given it's close proximity to the hospital. Food is delicious and staff is courteous and efficient. Great place overall. I will most certainly continue to frequent this place.
The best shrimp fried rice I've ever eaten, and in generous servings. Fresh and expertly seasoned.
The food was good but the service was poor. Their tempura fried veggies aren't actually tempura
A must stop when I'm in town. However this particular visit did not have as much love in the meal.
Was very pleased with the pad thai
I really enjoyed the pad Thai, I have and will be going back. On the pricier end, but you also have to take into account their location. Only thing I’d have to complain about would be that they go a little light on the chicken.EDIT:I had to drop it a star due to my last experience. The food is actually fairly expensive, and I wouldn’t say worth it’s price tag. The last time I ordered it was fairly bland, low in spice, even though I asked for a 5. It wasn’t bad, but nothing I’d rub my belly for. Also, very stingy with the chicken. Don’t know if I’ll be going back.
Thai Star is a delicious hole in the wall sort of place. I've only been here 3 times for lunch, but every time they've gotten my order done quickly and correctly, and the service has been great! This place seems completely packed for lunch, slightly before or after lunch hour is easier to find seating. The pad thai is perfect to my taste, and I like their pad see ew, just have to remember they do it a bit spicier than I'm used to. Perfect for a quick lunch, or casual dinner.
Kind staff. 5 levels of spices to choose from. Lots of nearby street parking if you are looking outside hours of 3-7pm. Kitchen may get overwhelmed on weeknights if they have many customers so call in your take out order ahead of time.
This place is really great and fast for lunch!
Good food
I really love this place. Food and staff are amazing. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is a bit run down... but again I really love the food and people!!
I ordered 4 things and they were all disappointing. - pad see ew overcooked noodles seasoning is off and bland, tofu has a very strange taste that I can't place- stir fry this was just awful weird mix of overcooked, mushy veggies and seasoning is off - iced tea sickly sweet but otherwise not bad had to add a ton of water - spring rolls very doughy and not much inside, also bland. The people there were very kind. Unfortunately the food is terrible. I have low standards for takeout, quick food but it's really not good at all. I would recommend Ayutthaya down the street which is excellent.
Great spot for lunch. ~$10.00 for a lunch special. The food was pretty good. Small location with limited seating. The food comes out relatively fast. I'm not sure where I would park if I didn't work within walking distance.
It was pretty good I enjoyed it okay price
$15 for a tiny cup of curry and no rice?! What a rip-off...
